60 CUBIC FOOT CAPACITY STAINLESS STEEL RIBBON BLENDER
The unit shown has an optional catwalk and end platform. Dimensions of the blender are 36" wide x 84" long x 42" deep. Mixing capacity is calculated to the top of the agitator ribbon with approximately six inches of "free-board".
This blender utilizes Titanseal brand air seals on each of the shaft penetrations. The simple, but effective design of these seals has proven to work in conditions other types of seals have failed. Please view www.titanseal.com for more info.
The center discharge for this blender has a air actuated knife gate valve installed. The stainless steel knife gate valve body is approximately 8" diameter and is ported to prevent ledges where product can hang-up and accumulate. The 6" diameter air cylinder assures product cut off even under the most extreme conditions. The valve also includes Teflon packing on the gate. Several options of outlet gates are available and include manual actuated slide gates, curved slide gates and butterfly valves.
The "Coffin Lid" top cover on this blender is one of many options. Standard covers can be flat and hinged from the side, center or end.
The support structure can be modified as needed to suit your needs.

| Photos showing the construction of the ribbon agitator. The external ribbon blades are fit to the spoke arms while the agitator is installed. This ensures a good close tollerance fit to the shell, providing less product loss and easier cleaning.
This unit features a air actuated knife gate valve. The valve has stainless steel body and knife and features teflon seals. The large bore cylinder assures positive cut off and is water tight. The body, as installed, is a full open port with no ledges that would allow product build-up.

This stainless steel cover is an example of our ability to customize our standard mixer to suit a particular need. This cover was made per customers instructions and his existing sample.
The center photo shows the Titanseal. This seal is a simple yet very effective device for sealing the shaft to end plate penetrations. It can be run without pressuring the body block, but is most effective when run with a small amount of regulated air pressure applied to the body block. Consumption of air is minimal because good seal provided by the design of the rotating surfaces. The positive pressure inside the body block is very effective in keeping the product out of the sealing chamber. This seal is currently being used in the mixing of very abrasive and hard to seal products such as Stucco for the construction industry as well as drywall joint compound. Other advantages over packing glands is that this design prevents shaft because the rotating part of the seal is clamped onto the shaft making the wear point between this "rotor" and the stationary "stator plate". These internal wear components can be replaced with new split components without having to remove the gear reducer or the end bearing. For more information see www.titanseal.com
